About Me

My photo
Retired, housewife, mother of three. Picking up the pieces after God decided the 145 year old farmhouse was no longer the house for us. Praise God for His mercy and love!

Almost Easter

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the gift of Your son. And thank you, Jesus, for loving us so much.

From the yard. I forgot to take pictures at the flea market. I get to talking with friends and always forget. :)

Elderberry flower buds.

Elderberry flower.

I never know if I should put name then picture or picture then name. I know I usually do picture then name... :)

Wild gladiolus.

We have a LOT of clover.

More yellow flowers.

Not sure what this one is. This is a closer shot my son took for me. There are several around the yard. A little more lavender than the picture shows. Pretty, whatever it is.
And what it looks like "in the wild", if you can see it there.

And last, not a flower. Lots of places in the yard for them to have a home.

They show up every year.

You all be safe, have a Blessed Easter.

God bless.

It must be spring

Even though 85 or more doesn't seem very spring-like. I prefer 70s for spring.

St. Andrew's cross. A member of the St. John's Wort family.

The yellow flower is sow thistle. Quite spiny so you don't pull it without protection!

Would seem to be Buttercup.

Clover, of course. :)

Wild blackberries.

A few of this year's "crop."

Thistle. Very spiny. Yes, I am behind on mowing. :) I've read some people eat them and they apparently taste a bit like celery. I hope to never need to know.

I pray you are all doing well. Be safe and God bless.

I know it's been a while

Not much to say when you don't do much. I do praise God for each day He gives me now.

It will be 2 years next month that my husband went to Heaven. Sometimes it doesn't seem that long; others it seems like much longer.

Old oak leaves are falling in the wind, and the birds are singing. A short video.

And the wild blackberries are blooming.

And the oak trees are blooming. I never really noticed before, but I was out today and I realized all the light greenish I had been seeing on the oak trees, were flowers.

The second picture is a cropped "close up". As you can tell, they are quite a way over my head.

I want to apologize for not commenting like I used to. Seems I never have enough time for everything.

We are nearing the end of the age, I think. Though as we know, know one knows the time.

But Jesus will be returning soon, I think. Praise God for that.

If anyone still reads, thank you. You all be safe and God bless.

Belated Happy New Year!

If you are anywhere in the cold stormy weather, I pray you are safe and warm.

If you live in California, I pray you are safe from the fires.

For some reason, "Do You Hear What I Hear" has been on my mind a lot lately. While scanning you tube, I came across this unusual version. I hope you enjoy it.

You all be safe and God bless.
