You all be safe and God bless. ❤️
Thank you, Heavenly Father, for the gift of Your son. And thank you, Jesus, for loving us so much.
From the yard. I forgot to take pictures at the flea market. I get to talking with friends and always forget. :)
Elderberry flower buds.
Elderberry flower.
Wild gladiolus.
We have a LOT of clover.
More yellow flowers.
Even though 85 or more doesn't seem very spring-like. I prefer 70s for spring.
St. Andrew's cross. A member of the St. John's Wort family.
The yellow flower is sow thistle. Quite spiny so you don't pull it without protection!
Would seem to be Buttercup.
Clover, of course. :)
Wild blackberries.
A few of this year's "crop."
Thistle. Very spiny. Yes, I am behind on mowing. :) I've read some people eat them and they apparently taste a bit like celery. I hope to never need to know.
I pray you are all doing well. Be safe and God bless.
I went out for a bit this morning. Mid 70s. Nice!
And I saw a hummingbird! I tried to get a video but it didn't work. Well, I could see it but I knew what I was looking for. :)
So I'll post the two pictures I think you might like.
Hummingbird and morning glory.
And a picture of the hummingbird resting on a branch.
I have bird feeders out. Not hummingbird feeders because Louisiana has enough wasps without attracting them more. But regular seed feeders. We have one sparrow that doesn't fly very well, and I think there is something wrong with it's legs because whenever it lands, for the most part, it sits on its stomach and doesn't stand on its legs.
Here is a picture when it got confused and landed on the ramp right in front of my scooter!
One of my sons had been watching for me to come back in. He walked out slowly and the bird began flying. For a moment I thought it might land on the bird feeder, but it ended up on the lower level of the ramp. I think it mostly doesn't see so well, either. It is often sleeping at night in the bowl feeder I have.
I am thankful that the new storm in the Gulf/Caribbean will miss Louisiana. Now I pray for Florida.
You all be safe and God bless.
Doing well. We are blessed.
Been feeding birds. Cat TV as I call it for our 4 cats. :) They do not eat all the seed. Quite messy actually.
Here is a volunteer sunflower my son took a picture of yesterday.
It is growing near a planter with what is called "Blue Boa Hummingbird Mint". I do enjoy watching hummingbirds. I also have a planter with Impatiens growing. Red flowers there. But no picture, sorry.
A closer shot of the sunflower.
Some of my Zinnias. This is when they were looking better. They have grown quite bigger than expected since then. Quite literally falling over themselves.
Hummingbirds like them, too. :)
As do little butterflies. At least I think it was a butterfly. :)
We've been enjoying a nice change from the normal Louisiana heat and humidity from summer, with temps below 90, but still humid.
But now summer with be returning next week, along with the heat. I thank the Lord that our AC is working.
You all be safe and God bless.
Birds waiting out the rain.
After the storm.
A few zinnias.
Look at the spines on this weed!
Hurricane season starts soon.
You all be safe and God bless.
besides long grass..
I did some reading and apparently bees love thistles. And it takes 2 years for them to flower.
You all be safe and God bless.
