We are home again

Got back before the next set of rain storms comes though.

Had a few more flea market pictures to show you all.
I can't stress though, with all these photos, this is a tiny fraction of what was there, and it was a slow weekend! Because of Super Bowl, I think.
Anyway. :)

First Monday Trade Days is the weekend before the First Monday of a month. So this time it was 30 January - 2 February. Thursday through Sunday, rain or shine they claim. But we try not to go if it rains. There are a lot of vendors who I'm sure are not there when it rains.

By the luck of the calendar there will be 2 in April this year, so we are trying to decide if we want to go to one. We'll see.
You all take care and God bless. :)

First Monday Trade Days - Warning - Picture heavy

Hello from Canton, Texas!

After a good night's sleep Wednesday night, I felt really good Thursday. I've been talking fine - much to hubby's disappointment, haha!
I'm eating well and not having any overly undue pain that some tylenol can't help.
The arthritis in my knee is really the only thing slowing me down and I have an appointment to get shots for that.

So I thought I'd share a few pictures of the flea market with you. Mind you, this is just a tiny fraction of everything that is for sale here. :)

So how did you spend your Tuesday?

I spent mine in the hospital getting a thyroidectomy. My ENT has been following me for a couple of years and decided now was the time.
Only the right half needed to be removed. He said the left half looked good, so no supplements right now.
mt neck is a little bruised; but it cleaned up well with hubby's help. Just waiting for the results of whatever they do when they remove something like that.

I told hubby it looks like someone slit my throat. Which, technically, is what the doctor did. Just much more nicely. When it is fully healed, you probably won't even be able to tell.
I praise God for blessing the doctors and nurses, and for His hand in my surgery.
BIL called yesterday and was surprised to hear me talking mostly normally.

Called my mom after I got home, and she said I sounded normal, so I give glory to God for that.

God willing, I'll feel good enough to go to the Canton First Monday Trade Days with hubby this weekend. We'll see.

Be safe and God bless.

Tunk's Cypress Inn

The crawfish and the bread pudding were both excellent.
