Still here

Praise God. 🙂

Our one remaining magnolia tree is glad to be alive.

The cucumber plants on the ground zero side of the house protected by God are doing well.

These are a type called mini-munch. From Territorial Seed, if I remember right. They've grown so fast and we've had so much rain it's been hard to keep up with keeping them up.
There's 3 maybe 4 main plants there.

We got 5 cucumbers yesterday. No pictures, sorry.
I picked one, wiped it on my pants and ate it. It was really good. The skin was tender and there were no seeds to speak of.
No burping, either!

Party City has reopened so middle son is working part time again.
We have no knowledge of demolition.
There is still so much to do. 🙁

But, we are here and healthy to do it, so praise God.🙂

You all thank God for your blessings. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Go Fund Me update.

Our gracious Anonymous Donor has now offered to match 2 for 1 donations in the final hours of the Memorial Day Holiday. Many thanks to donors that have given either by name or Anonymously.

So if you know of anyone who said "maybe" before, perhaps you could poke them again?
I'm sorry to keep asking, but we're almost to our goal of $10,000 and this offer expires at midnight.

Thank you and God bless you all. ♥

So I finally got to the beans

This is where the tub planter was located.

It was only after paying $10,000 to have hanging branches, broken trees, and downed trees removed, that we were able to get back there. The white cloth hanging there used to protect that tub from too much rain coming off the roof of the house. That piece of roof isn't there any more. Not sure which piece is "stacked" against the hall and kitchen there.

Anyway, God protected that little garden. I may try to get there again and plant some more beans.
I harvested a few beans a couple days ago.

We microwaved them yesterday and they were really good. Not the way I would normally fix green beans; but we made do.

And yes I know it's been a month. And yes there is still that much to clean up. It's only been the two boys to do it. With all the holes and root balls and such to watch out for, they get really upset if the husband or I try to get around and do stuff.

Party City reopened, so we are grateful that one son has picked up some part time hours. The supposed unemployment that was promised never showed up. I praise God it wasn't needed.

I want to thank everyone, again, for all your help. It has meant more than I can say. May God bless you all and keep you safe.

Hello friends. I need your help.

I need your help. I've run out of ideas to help the go fund me account.

An Anonymous donor has proposed a Memorial Day challenge to match any donations made on the Memorial Day weekend in honor of the combined service of the family that was in the house at the time of the tornado up to $3,000. That being:  Linda Gremillion 20 Years US Air Force, Ken Gremillion 16.5 Years US Air Force plus 18.5 Years as a Civil Service Employee of the US Navy supporting the USMCs war effort in Iraq, and Robert Gremillion 6 Years US Army with 2 tours of combat duty in Iraq. This is a total of 61 Years of service to the United States of America.

If you could help get this out, I would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

As a reminder.

Go fund me to help with recovery costs.

Thank you and God bless and protect you all.

Thought I would show you a few things.

The power pole that so many people helped us get.

The nasturtiums and Mini Munch cucumbers I planted the start of the lockdown.
They were on the south side of the house. The side hit by the tornado.

Haven't been able to get to the tub with the green beans in it, yet. Or the fig tree in a while, Between wind and rain.. Hoping God will bless us there, too.

You all be safe. Please remember us in your prayers. When they talk of the possibility of severe weather, I have to ask God to strengthen my faith.

God bless and thank Him for all you have.
