Retired, housewife, mother of three.
Picking up the pieces after God decided the 145 year old farmhouse was no longer the house for us.
Praise God for His mercy and love!
Very awesome!! I do understand that a new roof is worth celebrating!!! I like the color too. Let's hope no high winds...of any kind will come your way any tinme soon. :-)
Great looking new roof Linda! I'm sure it is a nice feeling to have it done. I'll keep my fingers crossed that no hail and high winds come your way before the move. :)
Kim, haha. True. Not much color here, yet, but I enjoy seeing the pictures of others. :)
Cowgirl, thank you! :)
Cheyenne, Thank you. Well, I'm not the best and have made some doozy poor choices, but I think we'll stay with the same color area. You can't tell from the pictures, but the color of the shingles is 'Burnt Sienna'. So we'll probably go with some sort of tan color. :)
Looks great. But I am with John. Shingles still? We gave up shingles in Oz when wooden ones went out. Tiles or Iron here these days. Both will last over 100 years.
Hello Al. If we had been going to stay here, I think we would have found a way for a steel roof. They are slowly gaining favor 'up North'. But since we are moving when we retire, we opted for the 30 year shingles - which are better than what the roof had before. :)
Hi Madge. I'm with you. Too much stress. I hope it's the last roof for both of us! :)

Congratulations! It's looks wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lana. I think we're safe for now. The ocean has started to cool off finally.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy. I think we'll be happy with it for the time we have left before we retire.
Is that a shingle roof?
ReplyDeleteJohn, yes it is. Supposedly 30 year shingles. Most roofing here is shingles.
ReplyDeleteYour new roof looks like ours that isn't so new--But now you don't have to worry about it, and can move onto the more creative things, like color!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend, lots of color here!! :-)

ReplyDeleteHooray, hooray!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to hear about your paint decisions. I'm terrible with that kind of stuff so I always like to glean from others! :)

Your new roof looks amazin!!! Isn't it funny how one thing leads to another??? Heeehehehe!
ReplyDeleteWhat color are ya thinkin'? I'm kinda smitten with the present color.
God bless ya and have yourself an extraordinary day!!! :o)
Haha. I know what you mean, Nezzy. And thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking some sort of tan. Something that will go well with the darker brown of the roof.
And thank you again. God bless. :)
Thank you, Nicole! :)
