About Me

Retired, housewife, mother of three. Picking up the pieces after God decided the 145 year old farmhouse was no longer the house for us. Praise God for His mercy and love!

Hubby has a new Endocrinologist

They agreed he should start on insulin for his type 2 diabetes. It was hubby's suggestion. Most of the other medicines have side effects he doesn't like.

Saw this bush outside the hospital when we arrived. They had a dozen or so of them. Has anyone seen a bush like this before? So pretty!

The flowers(?) looked like they had gold sparkles all over them.

My thoughts and prayers to the people of Eastern Texas.

Hope all of my readers are doing well. Have a blessed weekend! ♥

  1. I've used pills to control diabetes for the past decade or so and manage to keep it cool. I've resisted going on the needle. He has to decide what's right for him, but I think that once you take that step - it's tough to retreat back to oral meds. Good luck to him. The impact of not taking diabetes seriously is profoundly bad.

  2. May this change be the answer for your husband.

I have seen this plant but I am clueless. Pretty. You should have gotten a cutting and grew your own!
