I know I don't post much. Sorry. Just haven't felt the need to share.
But it is that time of year again.
They were very good. :)
God bless you all.

So we went to Lafayette yesterday
Even though it rained all day Friday and into early Saturday morning, it had stopped by 8 AM.
Went to the Jockey Lot flea market as usual. High temp on Saturday was at most 65, so nice weather for walking around. Found some tools to fill in holes in tool boxes and bought some videos.
Did some shopping in Lafayette and had lunch at a restaurant called Izumi Ramen. Had a great lunch with no leftovers like we usually have.
The pictures are not mine, I stole them from Waitr.
Hubby and I each had some fried gyoza.
Then we shared Hibachi steak and shrimp with stir fried vegetables and fried rice. All in all a really good meal.
Remember this is not the meal we had, I think this is chicken; but other than that it is exactly what we had. I will get a picture of ours next time (if my memory doesn't fail me!)
We had a nice day out. Didn't get home until almost 6PM. And best of all we didn't really feel rushed. We could have done more in Lafayette; but we were just tired and wanted to get home.
I think fall has arrived in Louisiana. It's nice.
God bless.

Almost the last quarter of the year.
So I guess I should do a post.
Yesterday we went to a little car show held at a nursing home. Hot dog donations went to a local soup kitchen. I believe if you click on them they will get bigger.
To me, the corvette was out of place with all the other cars there, but I imagine some of the kids probably enjoyed seeing it.
This is one of two cars there that had "suicide doors".
There were quite a few neat cars and trucks there.
All in all, it was a nice little stop.
God bless.

Since it's already August (Picture heavy)
I guess I should do a post.
Last month we went to Michigan to visit my Mother. She'll be 86 the end of this month. It rained the two days we were there; but we had a nice visit.
Then we went to the Shipshewana Flea Market in Indiana and spent a couple days there, too. Here are some pics from the flea market. I believe if you click on them, they will get bigger. It's hard to look and stuff and try to remember to take pictures.
A popular bulk sale grocery store had some interesting displays, also.
And with Shipshewana being an Amish area, traffic was always interesting.
On the way home, we took the Natchez-Trace Parkway for a good bit. One rest stop was this one.
It was a nice trip overall, really, because hubby was willing to take his time on the drive.
New shocks helped too. ;-)
You all be safe and God bless.

Guess I should catch you up.
I don't post so much any more. Not so much excitement when you're retired. Most of it is personal stuff and I don't share a lot of that.
A week ago we went to one of our monthly flea markets. It's a nice flea market. But I think the oak trees are going crazy with all this global warming stuff.
I was, carefully I thought, going past an oak tree that had roots level with the ground. There are a lot of trees like that in this particular flea market.
Well, the tree didn't like me walking by. I tripped and fell. Praise God that I didn't break anything. My left knee is still swollen, and it aches a bit. I can walk pretty much fine.
I bruised my right knee also, but nowhere near as bad as my left leg.
I suppose if it doesn't start looking and feeling better in another week, I should go see my doctor.
But on a happier note, we went out for crawfish Wednesday night. They were great! Big, juicy, and spicy. :)
But, the season is almost over. Bummer. :(
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. God bless.

One creature I don't understand a need for
See the brown in the pecan tree? Webworms. Sometimes called Tent caterpillars. They love pecan trees. Annoying pests. They can kill a young tree, even though the Ag center will tell you they are not a threat.
Starting early this year.
Praying for all in the path of the storms this year. Take care. Be safe and God bless.

Heading home Sunday
Only a couple more pics to share.
I should have taken more pics, but it's had to be looking at everything and remember to take pictures.
Texas Best Cafe is where I stopped for a breakfast bacon biscuit. They serve breakfast and lunch here.
And now that Joe Biden said "Make America Moral Again", or whatever it was, (really Joe?) Will this place need to change its name?
Not sure if it is supposed to rain tomorrow or not; but I kind of hope it is dry for the trip home.
You all be safe and God bless! :)
P.S. I took a couple pics as we were coming back from tanking up for the return trip. ;-)
And this is just a small sliver of how the RVs are packed in. These all belong to shoppers.
A blessed Sunday to you all!

Our first full day in Canton, Texas.
And it is raining for the third time.
But inbetween, we have been going around the "First Monday Trade Days" flea market that this town is known for.
Haven't taken a lot of pictures, but let's see if what I have taken will post.
