Valentine's lunch

I know, all I do is post about food. What can I say?
I told my Mom I would show her a picture. We intended to yesterday; but weren't feeling up to it.
We prefer to avoid the crowds, so a Valentine's lunch it was. Snow crab, shrimp, crawfish and boudin sausage; with the typical corn and potato.

It was as good as it looks! :-)

When we were nearing the end of our lunch, the hostess came up and told us that the couple in the table behind us had paid for our meal!
I have no idea who they were, but it was quite the surprise. I pray that God blesses them richly. What a wonderful gesture.

My Mom is cold today! 12 degrees in Michigan. I remember when -60 in Alaska was nothing. Now days 30 is cold and we couldn't do that any more. Hubby and I have discussed that. If we had stayed there, it would all have been different.
But God has his plans and it all happens for a reason. :)

You all stay warm, be safe, and God bless.

January weather in Louisiana

At least it's not snow? :-)

I gave a friend an old field jacket that I outgrew. Ha!
Brought back memories.

I miss SAC. Way better than TAC to me. But SAC did it's job too well and put itself out of business.

You all be safe and God bless.

We are home again

Got back before the next set of rain storms comes though.

Had a few more flea market pictures to show you all.
I can't stress though, with all these photos, this is a tiny fraction of what was there, and it was a slow weekend! Because of Super Bowl, I think.
Anyway. :)

First Monday Trade Days is the weekend before the First Monday of a month. So this time it was 30 January - 2 February. Thursday through Sunday, rain or shine they claim. But we try not to go if it rains. There are a lot of vendors who I'm sure are not there when it rains.

By the luck of the calendar there will be 2 in April this year, so we are trying to decide if we want to go to one. We'll see.
You all take care and God bless. :)

First Monday Trade Days - Warning - Picture heavy

Hello from Canton, Texas!

After a good night's sleep Wednesday night, I felt really good Thursday. I've been talking fine - much to hubby's disappointment, haha!
I'm eating well and not having any overly undue pain that some tylenol can't help.
The arthritis in my knee is really the only thing slowing me down and I have an appointment to get shots for that.

So I thought I'd share a few pictures of the flea market with you. Mind you, this is just a tiny fraction of everything that is for sale here. :)
