I know, all I do is post about food. What can I say?
I told my Mom I would show her a picture. We intended to yesterday; but weren't feeling up to it.
We prefer to avoid the crowds, so a Valentine's lunch it was. Snow crab, shrimp, crawfish and boudin sausage; with the typical corn and potato.
It was as good as it looks! :-)
When we were nearing the end of our lunch, the hostess came up and told us that the couple in the table behind us had paid for our meal!
I have no idea who they were, but it was quite the surprise. I pray that God blesses them richly. What a wonderful gesture.
My Mom is cold today! 12 degrees in Michigan. I remember when -60 in Alaska was nothing. Now days 30 is cold and we couldn't do that any more. Hubby and I have discussed that. If we had stayed there, it would all have been different.
But God has his plans and it all happens for a reason. :)
You all stay warm, be safe, and God bless.
Another delicious boil?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful Valentine's Day was enjoyed by all. And somebody did something nice for you for the joy of doing good.
Boudin? BOUDIN??? Be still my beating heart. The only way I'll get any boudin in North Idaho is to make my own. Now that you've reminded me it will go on my "future list" post haste!
ReplyDelete12° is way out of my comfort zone.
That was a nice Valentine's gift for you all, Linda. How lovely.
They even have boudin King Cake this year, Adrienne. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice Valentine's lunch, and kind people paying it forward. Can't ask for more than that, I'm thinking. Blessed be...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brig. :)
DeleteWhat a delicious looking lunch, and I agree, what a wonderful gesture that I know made your day!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know (or remember) that you lived in Alaska. We used to live there before we came to Virginia - And we lived in Wisconsin before that. But I remember those below-zero days in Alaska and when it "warmed up to zero" it felt balmy outside. good times!! :-) --And 30 feels cold to me too. That was the temp for us today!
We were there late 70s to early 80s, Kim. Our first son was born there in 1981. :-)
DeleteThat is a nice gesture. And the lunch looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed, TB. Thank you.
DeleteDelicious!
ReplyDeleteGod has plans -- yes indeed, Providence.
Every blessing.
