About Me

Been a hot summer

And very dry. They are promising to prosecute anyone burning anything.

They had to back off of telling the LSU fans they couldn't tailgate this weekend at the game, though. The original announcement that it would not be allowed went over worse than a lead balloon, haha. They will allow the tailgate BBQs.

Old house looks cool enough in the hundred degree heat we've been having, don't you think?

We had a thunderstorm blow through. Lowered the temp to 78. It's starting to climb, but fortunately it's 1530, so not enough time to heat back up a lot. Not enough to stop the burn ban, but a blessing from the Lord all the same.

As is the generator He had us install. Whole house (the trailer / manufactured home is only 50x26) generator that we have needed four times now in the last two and a half weeks. No explanation from the electric co-op. Makes me thankful for the propane that our stupid government wants to outlaw.

Lord forgive me, but I hate the people behind the scenes that have too much money..

Flea market Saturday tomorrow!

You all be safe and God bless.

  1. Linda, it has been very hot here as well. We are supposed to "break" into the high 80's next week.

Odd how after weeks of over 100 degrees F, a 92 degree day feels positively balmy.

    1. I have to agree, TB. It was mid 90s today and we were thinking how nice it was. :)

  2. Record heat here in VA, and a drought, as we're more than 10 inches short of rain - Creeks and wells are drying up, and we're conserving as much as we can, and trying to stay cool, as I hope you are able to do. ❤

    1. Kim, I praise the Lord for keeping us cool in the heat.
The Mississippi is pretty low due to the drought, too. They were talking on RFD-TV about the cost of transportation going up because they have to change how things are transported with the lower water levels.
      Stay cool. <3

  3. We recently also had crazy hot weather for way too many days. Thankfully, while it's too dry, we are enjoying cool nights and not to hot days now.
