I'm glad we did. We had a good enough day. Not spectacular (this is only North Carolina, after all. Eastern NC at that, haha), but enough for a meal tonight.
Almost a dozen nice bluegill and pumpkin seed. They had pretty much stopped biting by the time we used the last of the worms.
We also caught a couple bass, but tossed them back. Saw a gar about 3 feet long, but didn't try to catch that. If we had caught it, we'd have brought it home and fed it to one of the pecan trees. ;)

That was a nice catch! We still have some worms to use up here too.
ReplyDeleteIt has turned windy down this way today. Maybe tomorrow evening we will try to catch a few fish for the freezer.
Those gars can look pretty mean, I think.
