Good day fishing today

So we went fishing this morning. Was nice out. Cool. But quite breezy. We wanted to use up the last of the worms we bought last week.
I'm glad we did. We had a good enough day. Not spectacular (this is only North Carolina, after all. Eastern NC at that, haha), but enough for a meal tonight.

Almost a dozen nice bluegill and pumpkin seed. They had pretty much stopped biting by the time we used the last of the worms.
We also caught a couple bass, but tossed them back. Saw a gar about 3 feet long, but didn't try to catch that. If we had caught it, we'd have brought it home and fed it to one of the pecan trees. ;)

Have a great weekend, all. :)

  1. That was a nice catch! We still have some worms to use up here too.
It has turned windy down this way today. Maybe tomorrow evening we will try to catch a few fish for the freezer.

Those gars can look pretty mean, I think.
    Have a great day.

  2. Gar can definitely look mean. And are mean. But I would definitely feed one to a tree, haha.
    Good luck fishing tomorrow!
We did work around the house today.
Hope you're having a good evening, Pam. :)
