surgery went well.
Fixed one torn tendon, the rotator cuff, and removed some arthritis.
Hubby decided he didn't care what other people thought, he went to sleep in bed -- big sling and all.
Now the fun begins.
How to keep him from trying to lift anything for the next two weeks.
I may not be around much. Spouses that are healing need a lot of care.
We had a little rain on the drive home, but thank the Lord, not a lot. I don't like driving. Never have. It's a necessary evil, but I don't like it. Especially not in a larger city where I don't know my way around.
I hope everyone who needs rain can get a little, too.
Hope you all had a wonderful day. Have a safe, wonderful weekend! ♥
Good luck with hubby. Take care of yourself as well.
ReplyDeleteThe sling kept Den from lifting...only thing it was good for! Cinch him in tight.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby had the same surgery and it really stopped all his pain. Make sure your husband follows through on the physical therapy. This is key to a complete recovery. My husband really worked hard at home with his exercises stretching with the rubberband straps. He has full use of his shoulder today.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a speedy recovery!
Lisa
He is already talking about not needing the therapy because he will be too busy.
DeleteGetting him to be still for the surgery to heal will be the trick.
Thank you, Lisa!
We've had rain every day for the last couple weeks. I'm beginning to think NC is copying South Florida. IF, that's the case, I expect it to continue into the winter months, as well. ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't get too tired x
ReplyDeleteThank you, John. Hope your own weekend isn't too hard on you.
DeleteI'm glad everything went well, hope he listens to the doc!
ReplyDeleteMagic thoughts for a fast healing for your husband. I don't like to drive in big towns nor cities! I so understand!

Let the healing begin..glad to hear it is over:)
ReplyDeleteso glad everything went well. He really needs to rest but I know what you mean about sick husbands. I hurt my rotator cuff tendon years ago and I remember the sling being a little uncomfortable and the physical therapy being more than uncomfortable. May you have a nice weekend, not too much rain, not too demanding hubby, and no driving!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the surgery went well Linda. Hope your husband has a speedy recovery. Take good care of yourself too!!
ReplyDeleteHope you find time to get some rest after all that work.
ReplyDeleteAnd hope your husband mends speedily and minds the doctor.
Take care!
Thank you, Callie. :-)
DeleteI am sure you've had your hands full! He's probably itching to feel "normal" but he needs to let his body heal. That's often a one-shot deal.
