You read that right.
He didn't know how to use a bar of soap. He's ten.
His mother told us he only uses soap in a squirt bottle, implying that we were remiss by not having any.
Hah!
He should know how to use a bar of soap as far as I'm concerned.
Hubby thinks there is a deer in the neighborhood.
Any of you seen anything like this before?

This is one of the pecan trees we planted a couple years ago. We are hoping it will survive. The damage is pretty bad.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
I've not seen a tree torn up like that before. I reckon a deer could be the culprit. Any tracks around the area?
ReplyDeleteAs for the 10 year old...using a bar of soap should be easy to figure out. Gracious!
Between the soap and not being taught cursive, I pray for our younger generation. ;)
ReplyDeleteit's not that hard to figure out (soap). It really is quite a sad commentary on that generation, it's not the boys fault. Can he tie his shoes? All these things that were basic to us as children have gone by the wayside.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Monday.
I can understand the soap deal...I work in a school where the children have pump soaps on the walls in the bathroom and in the classrooms. Parents use the pump soaps at home to keep the mess to a minimum. However, I am a little too frugal to keep buying pump soaps for bathtime. A good old bar of Ivory in the tub is just fine with me!
ReplyDeleteWe get a lot of damage like that at our cabin and there are hundreds of deer there.
ReplyDeleteYep! Deer and their antlers!! Not good!

The tree reminds me of an episode from "Lost" with the monster in the woods! Of course, you know I live in the woods and have an active imagination, should never have watched the series "Lost!" I hope the tree survives.
ReplyDeleteAs for the soap, learning new things is always great --- she should be happy that he's finally seen and used a bar of soap after a decade on this planet! Lol
