Take what you need and leave the rest...

I know God has a sense of humor, because 8 times out of 10 when I use the grill, it rains. ;) Today, it is pouring. And we have thunder (probably lightning, too, I guess).

And yeah, I need to replace the canopy, too. I've known that for a while now, but usually I'm almost finished before the rain starts. Hopefully the electricity stays on. It's getting nasty out.
If you need some rain, I'll do my best to send it your way! :)

  1. Rain almost looks good. It was warm here today. By that, I mean hot but we haven't had too many hot day this year. It's been a really wet year. Last night at the Calgary Stampede they removed all the dirt from the track, dried it, put it back, and repacked it because the night before they had to cancel the chuck wagon races, first time since 1925. So maybe I better not wish for a rainy, cool day.

  2. Yes, please... shove the rain over this way. We could use some cool wet days. It would make a nice break in all this hot weather. Maybe I should haul out the grill?

  3. CCC, Wow. Sorry to hear that about the Stampede. I've only seen it on TV but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.
Haha. Maybe you better not, yeah. :)

It is still in the 80s here at 7:43 PM.

Callie, I'm doing my best. :) Maybe you should haul out your grill, yeah. It sure couldn't hurt! :)

  4. I love grilling in the rain! I feel like such an odd ball doing it but there's just something primal about it.

  6. Thomas, it's definitely interesting! I'd like a more waterproof cover, because it's quite the feat getting the food from the grill to the house the way you want it (minus rain), but it is fun. :)

  7. Fantastyk Voyager, I'll do my best! I'll have a little talk with God and see if he can oblige you and Callie. :)

  8. We grill all year round - kinda like the postman - rain, hail, sleet, or snow. Well, maybe not hail, but, I think you get the picture.

We've finally received some much needed rain. Could still use a little more! I guess it's back to cutting grass which I haven't had to do in over 3 weeks!

    Have a lovely weekend.

  9. Hey, Toni. We're like you. We grill pretty much all year - except hurricanes. ;)
Glad to hear the rain has come to someone who needs it. :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, too, Toni. Thanks!
